PUBLIC hospital doctors have place planned industrial action on hold when Health Minister Jack Snelling in person intervened in an exceedingly deepening dispute over rosters for specialists.
Mr Snelling met SA Salaried Medical Officers Association (SASMOA) president Dr David Pope in his town workplace on Th when a rally of doctors last night authorised the union committee to set up industrial action.
Mr Snelling and SA Health need senior specialists rostered to longer hours, locution it'll improve patient outcomes, whereas SASMOA says the rosters may see doctors operating fifteen hour days seven days straight, leading to unsafe operating hours.
Nothing concrete concerning actual hours worked was achieved within the discussions with Dr Pope saying: “We have simply had discussions concerning restarting negotiations.”
