Imagine a world with additional birthdays – celebrate, keep in mind and fight back.” The yankee Cancer Society marks its one centesimal year in 2013 and Park Rapids Relay for keeps groups rallied for the cause, raising $45,106 (with additional contributions coming back in) for cancer analysis.
Participating within the team lap were, above, from left, Robyn Helen Keller, Joy Rippentrop, Nichole Weston and Loree Cusey, behind them left to right were actor Franklin, Kyle Hensel, Hannah Hensel, Bill Reichling, Chris Cowden, Keith Franklin, Shelly Franklin, Dave Hanson and MacKenzie Hensel.
There were a range of events for teenagers and adults alike. Landon Stumbo, 4, of Park Rapids, was a study in concentration as he tossed the bean luggage.
