HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE JOINED THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER.

The sixth annual Relay always of Boyertown raised $199,000 for the yankee Cancer Society over the weekend.

More than five hundred folks registered for the 24-hour event, that ended Sunday morning at Boyertown highschool. Another 800 to one,000 folks came to support the hassle, aforementioned Jim Davidheiser, event chairman.

"I suppose the highlight was that we have a tendency to had rattling attending, the weather was stunning and everybody had the spirit of fighting cancer," Davidheiser aforementioned.

In addition, Boyertown was selected  this year as a regional web site for a cancer interference study by the yankee Cancer Society.

Davidheiser aforementioned 148 folks ages thirty to sixty five took surveys, had their height and waist measurements taken and had blood drawn.
